1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Uppercut Studio (“we”, “us”) handles information for the Flakback website, desktop software, software and model downloads, purchases, and support. It does not govern a third-party AI service or teammate you choose to send a Flakback to.

2. The core privacy boundary

Flakback does not upload your working content to us. Screenshots, screen regions, marks, voice, transcripts, prompts, and generated briefs are processed and stored locally under your control.

You choose where local files are saved, how long they remain, and whether to share them. Removing files or uninstalling the app removes the local material according to the uninstall and deletion choices shown to you.

4. Website hosting

The public website is hosted by Uppercut Studio on Firebase App Hosting. It records first-party aggregate page visits, recognized referral campaigns, checkout intent, and coarse browser locale. It does not record private Flakback content, use fingerprinting, run session recording, or create an advertising profile. Raw IP addresses are not part of the product analytics schema.

5. Checkout and purchase records

When purchasing is available and you open checkout, Paddle acts as the authorised reseller and merchant of record. Paddle processes payment and identity information under its privacy notice. Complete card details are provided to Paddle and its payment providers, not to Uppercut Studio.

Uppercut Studio may receive or access information needed to fulfil and support the order, such as your name, email, country, transaction, product, license, refund, and fraud-status information. We use it only for delivery, support, accounting, security, and legal compliance unless you separately and expressly opt in to another use.

6. Cookies and similar technology

The Flakback marketing pages do not set advertising cookies. First-party aggregate measurement uses no account and no cross-site identifier. Paddle checkout may use cookies or similar technology necessary for checkout, fraud prevention, security, preferences, and legal compliance. Those technologies begin when Paddle checkout is loaded and are governed by Paddle's notice.

7. Why we may process limited personal information

Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on:

8. Retention

Local app content remains until you delete it. We retain support conversations and limited order records only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Paddle, GitHub, email, and download providers apply their own retention periods under their policies.

9. Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share limited information only with providers needed to host the site, deliver files, process orders, provide email, or operate support; when required by law or necessary to protect rights and security; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or transfer of the Flakback business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

10. International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, the responsible provider or Uppercut Studio uses recognised transfer safeguards. Provider policies describe their locations and safeguards in more detail.

11. Security

We minimise the information we receive and use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You remain responsible for access controls, backups, and safe handling of sensitive content stored on your own device.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local privacy authority.

To make a request about information controlled by Uppercut Studio, email flakback@uppercut.studio. We may need limited information to verify the request. For payment data controlled by Paddle, use Paddle's privacy-request channel linked from its privacy notice.

13. Children

Flakback is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can address it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or law changes. The current version will remain on this page with a revised effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide any notice or choice required by law.

15. Contact

Flakback is operated by Uppercut Studio. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to flakback@uppercut.studio.
